Since I don't drive, I don't know if these directions are 100% correct! Please send me any corrections. From New Jersey/Manhattan: First, take one of the following: Outerbridge Crossing: Richmond Parkway to West Shore Expressway to Staten Island Expressway. Goethals Bridge: Staten Island Expressway (278) East. Bayonne Bridge: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway (south) to Staten Island Expressway. Then take the... Staten Island Expressway (278) East to Verazano-Narrows Bridge. Gowanus Expressway (278) to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Queens Blvd East (see below). Get into Queens Blvd service road and go until you see the Diner (about 1 Mile). If you pass a Sterns or Macys you went too far. If you are driving across Manhattan the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Willamsburg Bridges or the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel meets the BQE in Brooklyn. The Queens-Midtown Tunnel flows into the Long Island Expressway, which you take until either the BQE or Queens Blvd. However, if you go to Queens Blvd you will be at a point about 1/4 mile east of the Dinner where you will need to pass the Sterns/Macys. If you use the Queensboro Bridge, drive until you get to Queens Blvd and take it to the Diner about 4-5 miles away. From the North... Take the George Washington Bridge, and as soon as you get into Manhattan follow the signs for the Harlem River Drive. You can then take the Drive to the Triboro Bridge (toll $3.50) to BQE south to Queens Blvd (see blow), or if you prefer, continue onto the FDR Drive to 63rd St, exit the drive and take the Queensboro Bridge (no toll) across to Queens Blvd. (Getting onto Queens Blvd from the BQE) Coming from the south, you take the exit that says NY 25 East, Queens Blvd. At the top of the exit ramp stay left, make the left turn at the light, then a tight right turn at the next light, onto the service road. This is Queens blvd going east. Coming from the north i.e. the Grand Central Pkwy or Triboro Bridge, is a little more tricky. Take the exit for NY 25 East, Queens Blvd. As you get to the bottom of the exit ramp you have to shift to the right, across two lanes (there is usually no traffic) and make a right turn. You will see Queens Blvd straight ahead, one block. A right turn at the corner puts you on Queens Blvd east.
